Most compute entirely in your browser; the handful that need live data — authority, traffic, Core Web Vitals, domain age, keyword suggestions — call free public sources such as the Chrome UX Report, RDAP, and Google Autocomplete. They exist because people who find them useful sometimes go on to use Auto SEO.
Do I need to sign up to use them?
No. There is no signup, no email gate, and no usage cap on the client-side tools. The tools backed by an API are rate-limited per IP to keep them available for everyone, which in practice means a short pause only if you run dozens of checks in a minute.
Which free SEO tool should I start with?

Is my data uploaded when I use these tools?
The generators and analysers that work on pasted text — keyword density, readability, headline scoring, bulk meta checking, schema generation — run entirely in your browser and send nothing anywhere. The tools that check a live URL necessarily fetch that URL server-side, and the page content is not stored.
How accurate are the tools that report data?
